DESCRIPTION: See note at end of description regarding shipping or pickup. WW - Patek Philippe retailed by Gübelin, Genève, ref 2526, circa 1956, automatic, 35mm x 43mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original 18K yellow gold screw back case with stepped bezel, vintage gray strap signed Hamilton, fabulous original cream enamel dial with applied gold baton indices and subsidiary seconds at 6, 30J cal 12-600, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, Genève seals, case s#694789, movement s#762538, triple signed. Hailed by most as one of the single greatest dress watches ever produced, from its perfect proportions to the legendary 12-600 and that enamel dial which is truly second to none. NOTE: Due to their enamel dials these watches are quite fragile and this watch will be packed to the best of our ability in a membrane case with ample packing around; but we recommend local bidders/buyers to pick up in person if possible to avoid any possibility of harm during shipment.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, light micro-fine scratches, no oxide, 18K gold rotor shows hardly any wear with only very light surface scratches; nearly flawless dial with very small hairlines at 6 and 5, the indice at 4 appears to have been re-glued at some point; nearly mint gold dauphine hands; polished case shows little wear, mark between the top-left lug and the case which looks like a saw mark, light dings on case back and sides; replacement modern Calatrava cross crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal. NOTE: Due to their enamel dials these watches are quite fragile and this watch will be packed to the best of our ability in a membrane case with ample packing around; but we recommend local bidders/buyers to pick up in person if possible to avoid any possibility of harm during shipment.
